His fundraising career began 15 years ago, when the president of a charitable organization thought that his natural generosity, outgoing nature, and excellent public speaking abilities would make him the perfect person to oversee a black-tie fundraising event, which included a high-stakes live auction.
As auctioneer, Mr. Hunt shattered all previous fund-raising records, and far exceeded the expectations of the board of trustees. Word quickly spread through the Hamptons and New York, and he was soon flooded with requests by top-tier organizations for his abilities and outstanding professionalism as live auctioneer.
