REED FOUNDATION FOR AUTISM

The REED Foundation For Autism supports individuals with autism so they can thrive and achieve their full potential throughout their lives. Autism should not limit a child’s opportunities to learn and grow. This was a common thought shared by a small group of parents who came together in 2003, desperate to find the right education for their children with autism. In their continued efforts to advocate for their children’s future, they knew it was just a matter of finding the right program. That driving need inspired them to start REED Academy, a private, non-profit school in Oakland, NJ, for individuals with autism ages three through 21.

NHA provides employment to over 800 team members and touches the lives of thousands of San Diego families a year through a network of 28 programs at 125 locations. The NHA portfolio of programs is as wide and varied as the communities we serve. Current NHA programs range from early childhood education, youth development, mental health services, senior services, and more. These programs work together to form the agency’s Continuum of Care Model, a service delivery model that begins at the prenatal stages of life, includes wrap around services for the entire family, and continues all the way to senior care.
